Emir Kucuk The Sultan’s Bridge, known only as Stone Bridge, is a stone lacquer bridge that bridges Bregalnica Stip. The bridge is located at the very entrance to the city and according to the data, it was built in 1672 and belongs to the rare examples of Turkish architecture in Stip. The bridge was named after Sultan Kjuchuk Emir. During the first Balkan war, through this bridge, the demarcation line passed by, which the city divided into Serbian and Bulgarian part. The settlements on the left side of the river Bregalnica were under Bulgarian rule, while those on the right side fell under Serbian occupation. In the past, given the great water level, the bridge had a very important communication role, but today with the reduction of the water in the river Bregalnica, it has more historical and architectural significance. Today on this bridge, according to the predicted study on regulation of Bregalnica, it is planned to build a rubber dam.
