The lake Gratche is located about 6 km north of Kocani. The construction of this artificial accumulation began in early 1958, at the place Svetocki Skali. The immediate basin of the lake is built of shale, and with such a composition is the very valley in which it lies. It was precisely this geological composition that led to the construction of artificial accumulation.
Lake Grache lies at an altitude of 467 m and has an elongated shape with orientation north-south. It is housed in a remarkably picturesque gorge with a very attractive environment and lush vegetation. The excellent natural ambience is used for recreation, recreation and fishing. With the city of Kocani the lake is connected with a beautiful asphalt road. On the northern side of the lake, there is the archaeological site Dolno Gradiste.
Lake Grache is a famous tourist and recreation center with a hotel and two catering facilities. The relation from Kocani to Lake Grache is a favorite pedestrian-recreational zone for Kocani.
